Current Students



The NIH Oxford-Cambridge (OxCam) Scholars Program has grown from the first class of two students to a population of well over 100 aspiring young scientists whose interests find them involved in some of the most cutting edge biomedical research endeavors being conducted in the world.

  • NIH OxCam Program currently has 108 PhD and MD/PhD Scholars
  • NIH OxCam Scholars are performing research in 18 NIH Institutes and Centers
  • Scholars publish an average of 5 manuscripts, including 2 as first-author
  • 90% of NIH OxCam Scholars complete the doctoral degree requirements
  • Average time to degree completion is 4.5 years
  • There are currently 307 NIH OxCam Program alumni
