Caroline graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University in 2023 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. At Villanova, Caroline worked with a low-cost artificial intelligence tool for identifying cancer hallmarks in text data. As part of her senior capstone, she developed a low-cost intranet based public health platform for residents in the Galápagos Islands in collaboration with the Ecuadorian Ministry of Public Health.

After graduating, Caroline researched low-cost AI tools for lung cancer diagnosis with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway as part of her Fulbright scholarship. Then after, she was at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke as a post-baccalaureate fellow developing an unsupervised deep learning pipeline for analyzing clinical video footage of epileptic patients.

As a NIH OxCam scholar, Caroline will be working with Dr. Ronald Summers in the Clinical Center and Dr. Carola-Bibiane Schönlieb at the University of Cambridge to develop a foundational deep learning tool to analyze radiological images (CTs/MRIs/PETs) and blood images for disease diagnosis.
