    This post-bac/NIH trainee list-serv has ~10 housing posts every day. You can join the list-serv and post your request or peruse through the old listings

    There are many listings around the Bethesda area and good for short stays. Please visit the website and see if your dates are available.

    It is usually a pretty good option. They have a section for sublets and short term housing the DC area

Harvard Medical School Office for Postdoctoral Fellows
- a list of postdoctoral research opportunities available at Harvard Medical School and affiliated hospitals. 
Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship - a team-based program with the goal of inventing new technologies that address major clinical and surgical needs.
Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellows Program - an opportunity for young scientists to spend several years doing independent scientific research at the University of Illinois

Government Opportunities

CDC ORISE Research Participation Program - offers a monthly stipend for a specific research project under a mentor.
CRI-Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship - a three-year fellowship for immunology research at the Cancer Research Institute.
Human Frontier Science Program Postdoctoral Fellowships - three years of funding for young scientists who wish to work in foreign laboratories. 
Lawrence Fellowship - three-year fellowships for collaborative, interdisciplinary research in the interest of national security. 
National Institutes of Health - information on postdoctoral fellowships at the NIH
NIH Office of Extramural Research - a comprehensive list of extramural training mechanisms
National Science Foundation - postdoctoral programs funded directly or indirectly through the NSF. 
NHGRI - funding opportunities at the National Human Genome Research Institute
NHLBI - up to five years of funding for both intramural and extramural research through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. 
Navy Microbiology and Navy Biochemistry - jobs in basic and applied research and development in any of 20 global locations
Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Tupper Postdoctoral Fellowship - a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in a number of areas relevant to the research done at their field site in Panama. 

Other Sources of Funding  

American Association for Cancer Research - offers programs and services that foster the exchange of knowledge and new ideas among scientists dedicated to cancer research, provides training opportunities for the next generation of cancer researchers, and increases public understanding of cancer.
American Psychological Association - Communicates, facilitates, promotes, and represents psychological science and scientists in academic and scientific arenas.
Damon Runyan Fellowship Award - three years of funding for cancer research. 
Epilepsy Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowship - develops academic physicians and scientists committed to either basic or clinical research related to epilepsy.  Deadline: August
Helen Hay Whitney Foundation Research Fellowship - for postdoctoral research training in all basic biomedical sciences. 
PhRMA Foundation - offers postdoctoral fellowship awards (stipend support) for individuals engaged in a multidisciplinary research training program that will create or extend their credentials in pharmacology or toxicology. 
Sloan Research Fellowship - two years of funding for scientists of outstanding promise.  Nomination is required.
