Program Funding
The Scholars Program is funded through the NIH intramural research program. The Scholarship provides each accepted student a living stipend, health insurance coverage, and a travel allowance for the duration of Ph.D. training. In addition, the program fully covers tuition at Oxford or Cambridge.
MSTP funding is provided by the extramural research program of the NIH institute in which the student conducts research. Prospective students should contact the Managing Director (lampertb@niaid.nih.gov) to obtain specific details regarding program funding, details of which may vary in cases where students are the recipients of other types of scholarships such as the Rhodes or Marshall.
