Mentors and Advisors
The NIH-Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program is an unusual graduate program in biomedical research in which two distinguished mentors and their laboratories, one from NIH and one from either Oxford or Cambridge Universities, join together to mentor a single graduate student on a thesis project that is of mutual interest to both laboratories. The principle focus of this program is to train top caliber research students [88KB PDF] in an advanced, collaborative, multidisciplinary format to best prepare them for successful careers as creative basic or clinical investigators. In addition to students seeking the PhD, the program also enrolls MD/PhD students participating in the intramural combined degree training program.
